Today with us on the Incite Change Podcast, Coach Mauro sits down with a friend and client Melissa.
Melissa takes us through her fitness journey, which began the incorrect way as a teen as she seems to turn to food for comfort. Like many others, she was intimidated by the gym but worked through her fear of shame or weight.
Having been hit by a drunk driver at age 24 and given a 7% chance to live, she is a walking testimony that you can overcome anything and work your way to your fitness goals. After gaining weight due to limited mobility, she also shares her experience of making a conscious decision in terms of her health.
In closing Melissa’s advice is to remind us that a little change is all we need to get started. Don’t worry about others instead, worry about the steps you can make and never speak down to yourself during the process.
