Cost of Stage Lean with Swellie

Today with us on the Incite Change Podcast, Coach Mauro sits down with friend and colleague Danielle DaCosta.

Danielle is an IFBB (International Federation of BodyBuilders) Pro whose fitness journey is nothing unusual as she was an athletic kid who tried many sports. Although fitness took the back burner in her early adult years, she got back into fitness as an outlet for self-care.

Having a specialized honours Bachelor’s Degree in Physiology has allowed her to be able to identify the mental challenges and help people understand the mental aspects which fuel or interfere with their fitness.

She speaks to us about the importance of finding the balance between your personal and professional life. Although you want to help your clients as much as possible, you have to protect your own time as much as possible.

Like many others, Danielle’s past includes an unhealthy relationship with food. Unpacking it all, she shares with us the difficulty she has with reverse dieting after getting ready for a show and why it is important for others to understand it there is a cost associated with being lean.
