Good health is not simply a reflection of a person’s physical appearance, even though often, that’s what so many of us focus on. Even the thinnest person can struggle with issues that negatively affect their health, in the same way that a bodybuilder’s health can suffer from lack of proper care.

 

Good health is comprised of 5 essential parts. Each of these parts works together in unison to create a full picture of health. None is more or less important than any of the others. These essentials are Sleep, Exercise, Clean Food, Water, and Happiness.

 

Getting 8 hours of sleep every night is more than just a luxury for young people and those without children. It’s absolutely important for proper recovery of muscles and tissues, and it’s a natural way to help the body cleanse itself. Put yourself to bed the same way you would a child, and mind your bedtime. You won’t regret it!

 

Proper exercise doesn’t have to mean lifting heavy every day, or running for hours on the treadmill every day. Find an exercise you enjoy and do it at least 3 times a week. Similarly, keep things simple and straightforward on your plate as well. Eating clean means eating foods that are as close to their natural state as possible. Avoid processed meals and practice mindfulness when you eat.

 

Drinking water is a basic necessity that many of us take for granted. Drink at least 2 liters of water every day to keep skin looking fresh, help flush toxins from the body, and feel your best.
