Self-sabotaging behaviour may often seem like a means of damaging ourselves, kicking ourselves when we’re down. But at the end of the day, making excuses for why you aren’t actively pursuing your goals is more of a crutch. Excuses keep you comfortable. They keep you grounded in what’s familiar. You have the best intentions, but at the end of the day, your intentions are not enough.
Ask yourself, “are your excuses more important than your dreams”? Is your comfort zone more thrilling than achieving what you’ve always wanted? Is procrastination worth the chance of losing out on your potential? We think not.
