Sometimes it’s a weight loss plateau, other times a one-mile time you can’t seem to beat. When you’ve hit a wall, it can be discouraging. Especially when you’ve been working hard and you’re committed to the big lifestyle changes you signed up for.
When you hit a wall, don’t give up! There’s hardly a thing more discouraging than not seeing results. But we all have our own walls on the journey to success.
For some, our wall may be a jam-packed schedule. It’s a busy season at work, kids are out of school, or we’re making a big transition in our lives: moving, having a baby, changing career paths. The stress and chaos of day-to-day life can zap all the energy out of you, leaving you feeling drained and lacking motivation.
For others, the wall may happen when hard work doesn’t pay off immediately. You hit the gym 5 days a week and meal prep with mindfulness, but the scale hasn’t budged. Whether it’s been one week or 10—it’s hard to find motivation when your results aren’t extraordinary.
No matter what your personal wall may be, getting over it requires you to keep going. Don’t give up! No matter how small your progress—even if you seem to be completely stagnant—if you’re moving, you’re on your way.
All progress counts, even when it’s slower than you’d like.
