Stress, Snacking, & Sugar with Health Coach Jaci


Today with us on the Incite Change Podcast, Mauro sits down with former colleague and friend, Health Coach Yocheved (Jaci). 

Listen as she takes us along her fitness journey which she shares began at a young age as she was involved in sports and group activities. While in college, her decision to major in Human Kinetics was made while in line to finalize courses for her initial major; Teaching.

For the past 8 years, Yocheved (Jaci) has provided telephonic and online coaching to over 2100 clients across Canada. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Kinetics (specialization Exercise Science/Kinesiology) has been a nationally Certified Personal Trainer for twenty years and is a passionate and resourceful Registered Holistic Nutritionist who loves listening to and speaking with her clients.  

Throughout her 20-year coaching career, Yocheved has used her training to provide functional fitness & rehabilitation programs, delivered numerous workshops (including Show some Spine, Physiology of Weight Loss, Understanding Biometrics, and Sugar Addiction), and previously facilitated a Canadian Personal Trainer course for 8 years. Yocheved is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist through the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. She has a special interest in supporting her client’s mood, memory, and cognitive function and in overcoming sugar and food addictions.

To end the episode, she leaves us with one of her favourite quotes, “You can’t fix the software if the hardware is broken” by Dr. Daniel Amen. This helped her in the initial phases to put things into perspective, that supporting healthy nutrition will, in turn, provide the nutrients needed for optimal brain function.
