There are so many “fitness gurus” that preach a strict, Biggest Loser-type fitness journey. Stick to the plan 200% or else you’re a failure, right? Absolutely not! It’s so important to put yourself first and to remember that you’re worth making sacrifices for the sake of your health. You deserve to feel great (not to mention look your best)!
But, it’s even more important to understand that the road to success is chock-full of failures. Entrepreneurs probably understand this best, but it applies to your fitness journey as well. Investing in a promising business can backfire and leave you bankrupt … but not forever. Quitting your job to pursue your hobby full-time can leave you broke with no clients … but not for long. You pick yourself back up, reassess your goals, and get back into the swing of things. The harder you fall, the faster you get up and try again. Simple as that.
It’s easy to get caught up in the simple “Before” and “After” shots you see on your social media feed. You don’t see the years of hard work, sacrifice, weight loss and gain, tears and struggle in-between those shots. Where those two photos meet, there’s a gap that’s filled with failures. The difference between those “Before and After Heroes” and you is that they didn’t give up.
So today I encourage you to not give up. Keep working toward your goal, no matter how many times you fail. Get up, reassess, and move forward! You deserve it.
