Our brains are hardwired for easy, repeatable activities. This is why certain habits seem to stick, even when we desperately want to change. But we know that change ultimately happens when we choose what’s hard when it counts. Not everything has to be hard, of course. But if you’re choosing between doing the last set of the workout you said you would do, or heading home early, we hope you’ll choose to power through.
The most critical decision is made when you feel like giving up. Will you push through and prove to yourself that you can? Or will you admit defeat and subconsciously tell yourself that you’re not worth it?
Whether it’s one last rep, choosing another healthy meal even though you haven’t lost weight, or going to bed early even though it would be nice to stay up late and relax, we hope you’ll choose what’s hard. That’s what will change you, in the end.
